The Cloudray meniscus lens provides a smaller spot size and thus sharper engravings. I was also able to cut through material that I was not able to cut through before. If you are on the fence about getting a meniscus lens I would advise you to go ahead and get one. You won't regret it.

When I purchased a used co2 laser I had no idea what a focus lens should look like. As I was cleaning the lens I noticed it just looked a little cloudy. I had been fighting to get clean cuts so I decided to order a new lens to compare. When I opened the new lens it was obvious the lens needed to be replaced. After installing the crystal clear new focus lens I’m getting clean drops on the entire 20x28 bed!

This lens is amazing. I’m now cutting quarter inch birch plywood at 50% power on a 70w laser like butter. Much better lens than the stock one that came with my machine and is half the cost.
